Land Cruiser URJ200 URJ202 GRJ200 VDJ200 - HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING

COMPRESSOR (for 1UR-FE) - REMOVAL

1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

Remove the 7 clips and radiator support seal.

Compressor (For 1Ur-Fe) - Removal. HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING. Land Cruiser URJ200  URJ202 GRJ200 VDJ200

2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

Start the engine.

Turn the A/C switch on.

Operate the cooler compressor while the engine speed is approximately 1000 rpm for 5 to 6 minutes to circulate the refrigerant and collect the compressor oil remaining in each component into the cooler compressor.

Stop the engine.

Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery unit.

3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH

Remove the 4 clips and seal.

4. REMOVE FAN & GENERATOR V BELT
Compressor (For 1Ur-Fe) - Removal. HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING. Land Cruiser URJ200  URJ202 GRJ200 VDJ200

While turning the belt tensioner counterclockwise, align the service hole for the belt tensioner and the belt tensioner fixing position, and then insert a bar with a diameter of 5 mm (0.197 in.) into the service hole to fix the belt tensioner in place.

  • HINT:
  • The pulley bolt for the belt tensioner has a left-hand thread.

Remove the fan and generator V belt.

5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE
Compressor (For 1Ur-Fe) - Removal. HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING. Land Cruiser URJ200  URJ202 GRJ200 VDJ200

Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose from the cooler compressor.

Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose.

  • NOTICE:
  • Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
6. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Compressor (For 1Ur-Fe) - Removal. HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING. Land Cruiser URJ200  URJ202 GRJ200 VDJ200

Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose from the cooler compressor.

Remove the O-ring from the suction hose.

  • NOTICE:
  • Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
7. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY
Compressor (For 1Ur-Fe) - Removal. HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING. Land Cruiser URJ200  URJ202 GRJ200 VDJ200

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the 3 bolts and nut.

Remove the stud bolt and cooler compressor.
