DTC P0560 System Voltage
DESCRIPTION
The battery supplies electricity to the ECM even when the ignition switch is off. This power source allows the ECM to store data such as DTC history, freeze frame data and fuel trim values. If the battery voltage falls below a minimum level, the memory is cleared and the ECM determines that there is a malfunction in the power supply circuit. When the engine is next started, the ECM illuminates the MIL and stores the DTC.

- HINT:
- If DTC P0560 is stored, the ECM becomes unable to store some DTCs. Also, all DTCs and some of the data stored in the ECM are cleared every time the ignition switch is turned off.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

- Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
- HINT:
- Read freeze frame data using the GTS. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.

Disconnect the ECM connector.
Disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
for LHD Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Battery positive terminal - A38-1 (BATT) Always Below 1 Ω Battery positive terminal or A38-1 (BATT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher for RHD Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Battery positive terminal - A52-1 (BATT) Always Below 1 Ω Battery positive terminal or A52-1 (BATT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
Reconnect the ECM connector.
Reconnect the cable to the positive (+) battery terminal.

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
Clear the DTCs ().
Turn the ignition switch off and turn the GTS off.
Start the engine and turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
Read the DTCs.
