When the engine switch is turned on (IG), positive (+) battery voltage is applied to the main body ECU RH (cowl side J/B RH). When battery positive (+) voltage is applied to terminal IG of the main body ECU (cowl side J/B RH) while the theft deterrent system is operating, the warning stops.

When the theft deterrent system is operating, the relay in the main body ECU RH turns on and off, causing the security horn to sound.

When the theft deterrent system is switched from the armed state to the alarm sounding state, the main body ECU RH transmits a signal to cause the horn to sound at intervals of 0.4 seconds.

The engine hood courtesy switch is installed together with the hood lock. This switch turns on when the engine hood is opened and turns off when the engine hood is closed.

When the theft deterrent system detects that the vehicle is being tampered with, the system sets off the alarm, causing the horns to sound and the lights to light up or blink in order to alert people around the vehicle to the theft.

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

The main body ECU RH controls the functions of the theft deterrent system on the vehicle. Wireless door lock control system data can be read in the Data Link Connector 3 (DLC3) of the vehicle. When the system seems to be malfunctioning, use the intelligent tester to check for a malfunction and perform repairs.

Disconnect the main body ECU RH (cowl side J/B RH) connectors.
