Sfi System - Fuel Injector Circuit
The fuel injectors are located on the intake manifold. They inject fuel into the cylinders based on the signals from the ECM.
When the sensor output voltage remains at below 0.3 V, or higher than 4.7 V for more than 4 seconds, the ECM stores DTC(s).
Knock sensors are fitted onto the engine block to detect engine knocking.
The knock sensor contains a piezoelectric element which generates a voltage when it becomes deformed.
Example:
When the output voltage of VPA drops below 0.4 V for more than 0.5 seconds when the accelerator pedal is fully depressed, DTC P2122 is stored.
