Ecm Installation


  1. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET

  3. INSTALL ECM

  4. INSTALL TURBO MOTOR DRIVER

  5. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

  6. PERFORM REGISTRATION

  7. START ENGINE

Ecm -- Installation



1. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET

  1. Install the No. 2 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.

    Torque:
    3.0 N*m{31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf}


2. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET

  1. Install the No. 1 ECM bracket with the 3 screws.

    Torque:
    3.0 N*m{31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf}


3. INSTALL ECM

  1. Install the ECM with the bolt and 2 nuts.

    Torque:
    8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}

  1. Connect the 4 connectors.



4. INSTALL TURBO MOTOR DRIVER

  1. Install the turbo motor driver with the bolt.

    Torque:
    8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}

  1. Connect the connector.



5. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Attach the 2 hinges to install the glove compartment door.

  1. While pushing in the sides of the glove compartment door as indicated by the arrows in the illustration, close the door to engage it to the 2 stoppers.

6. PERFORM REGISTRATION

  1. Perform registration (Toyota Fortuner RM0000012XK04AX.html).

    HINT:
    Only perform registration when the ECM is replaced, either by itself or in any of the following combinations.
    1. ECM and Fuel Supply Pump
    2. ECM and Diesel Throttle Body Assembly
    3. ECM and Injector Assembly
    4. ECM and Engine Assembly


7. START ENGINE

  1. When replacing the ECM, start the engine to initialize the new ECM (Toyota Fortuner RM000000TIN04KX.html).
