Front Seat Assembly (For Power Seat) -- Installation |
- CAUTION:
- Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
| 1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY |
Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Connect the connector under the seat.
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Toyota Fortuner RM000004W63000X.html).
Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.
Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.
Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
- Torque:
- 37 N*m{377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf}

Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.
Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
- Torque:
- 37 N*m{377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf}
 |
| 2. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVER RH |
Attach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the seat track cover RH.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the claws.

| 3. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH |
Attach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the inner seat track bracket cover RH.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the claws.
 |
| 4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY |
Install the front seat headrest assembly.
| 5. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag) |
| 6. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY |
Check the power seat operation (Toyota Fortuner RM000003O6T002X.html).
