DTC 14 Engine Coolant Temperature Communication Circuit


DESCRIPTION

The engine coolant temperature sensor connected to the ECM detects the engine coolant temperature, which is used for warm up control when the engine is cold. The engine coolant temperature sensor sends a signal to the air conditioning amplifier assembly via the ECM.

  1. Clear the DTCs.

    2. for 1GR-FE: Toyota Fortuner RM0000012WY00RX.html.
  1. Check the DTCs.

    1. for 1KD-FTV: Toyota Fortuner RM0000010E700LX.html.
    2. for 1GR-FE: Toyota Fortuner RM0000010E700LX.html.

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER - ECM)
  1. Disconnect the A38 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

  1. Disconnect the E4*1 or E13*2 ECM connector.

    1. *1: for 1KD-FTV
    2. *2: for 1GR-FE
  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
