Roof Headlining -- Removal |
- HINT:

- The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
1. PRECAUTION |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Toyota Fortuner RM000000UYX010X.html).
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Toyota Fortuner RM000004W63000X.html).
3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH |

Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate.

Using a moulding remover, detach the 7 claws and 3 clips and remove the front door scuff plate.

Detach the 2 clips and 2 guides and remove the front pillar garnish.
w/ Curtain Shield Airbag:
Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.Thoroughly cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
- Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the front seat belt shoulder anchor cover.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat belt shoulder anchor.
Detach the clip.

Pull the center pillar garnish in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the center pillar garnish.

Remove the screw and quarter trim hook.

Detach the 2 claws and remove the outer lap belt anchor cover.

Remove the bolt and disconnect the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor.

Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
Detach the 7 claws and 10 clips.
Disconnect the power point socket connector and remove the quarter inside trim board.

Remove the bolt and disconnect the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor.

Detach the 8 claws and 10 clips and remove the quarter inside trim board.

Using a clip remover, remove the 7 clips.
Detach the 5 fasteners.
for RHD:
Disconnect the connectors and detach the 5 clamps.
Using a clip remover, remove the clips.
Detach the 5 fasteners.
