Starter Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

Starter -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag activation.


2. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Disconnect the starter connector.

  1. Remove the terminal cap.

  1. Remove the nut, and disconnect the terminal 30 wire.



    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Remove the nut, 2 bolts and stay.

  1. Remove the nut, 2 bolts and starter.
