| 1. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET |
for LHD:
Install the bracket with the 2 screws.- Torque:
- 3.0 N*m{31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf}

for RHD:
Install the bracket with the 2 screws.- Torque:
- 3.0 N*m{31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf}
 |
| 2. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET |
for LHD:
Install the bracket with the 3 screws.- Torque:
- 3.0 N*m{31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf}
 |
for RHD:
Install the bracket with the 3 screws.- Torque:
- 3.0 N*m{31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf}
 |
| 3. INSTALL ECM |
Install the ECM with the bolt and 2 nuts.
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
 |
Connect the 4 connectors.
| 4. INSTALL TCM (for Automatic Transmission) |
Install the TCM with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
 |
Connect the 3 connectors.
| 5. INSTALL TURBO MOTOR DRIVER |
Install the turbo motor driver with the bolt.
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
 |
Connect the connector.
| 6. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY |
 |
Attach the 2 hinges to install the glove compartment door.

While pushing in the sides of the glove compartment door as indicated by the arrows in the illustration, close the door to engage it to the 2 stoppers.

| 7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
| 8. PERFORM REGISTRATION |
Perform registration (Toyota Fortuner RM0000012XK04BX.html).
| 9. START ENGINE |
When replacing the ECM, start the engine to initialize the new ECM (Toyota Fortuner RM000000TIN04NX.html).
