CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INNER BELT - BODY GROUND)

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INNER BELT - METER*1 OR LIGHT*2)

INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR)

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG & GAUGE)
  1. Remove the ECU-IG & GAUGE fuse from the driver side junction block.

  1. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

    Standard resistance:
    Below 1 Ω


NG
REPLACE FUSE
OK


2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (METER*1 OR LIGHT*2 - BATTERY AND GROUND)

  1. w/ Accessory Meter:

    1. Disconnect the A23 meter connector.

    2. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage:
      Tester Connection
      Condition
      Specified Condition
      A23-12 (IG) - Body ground
      Ignition switch ON
      10 to 14 V
      A23-12 (IG) - Body ground
      Ignition switch OFF
      Below 1 V
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance:
      Tester Connection
      Specified Condition
      A23-1 (GND1) - Body ground
      Below 1 Ω
  1. w/o Accessory Meter:

    1. Disconnect the P14 light connector.

    2. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage:
      Tester Connection
      Condition
      Specified Condition
      P14-3 - Body ground
      Ignition switch ON
      10 to 14 V
      P14-3 - Body ground
      Ignition switch OFF
      Below 1 V
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance:
      Tester Connection
      Specified Condition
      P14-1 - Body ground
      Below 1 Ω

3.INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (BUCKLE SWITCH)

  1. Disconnect the F12 belt connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    1 - 2
    Seat belt is unfastened (ON) and apply more than 147 N (15 kgf, 22 lbf) of force to occupant detection sensor
    Below 100 Ω
    1 - 2
    Seat belt is fastened (OFF)
    10 kΩ or higher

4.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INNER BELT - BODY GROUND)

      F12-1 - A23-8 (PBEW)
      Below 1 Ω
      F12-1 - Body ground
      10 kΩ or higher
  1. w/o Accessory Meter:

    1. Disconnect the F12 belt connector.

    2. Disconnect the P14 light connector.

    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance:
      Tester Connection
      Specified Condition
      F12-1 - P14-3
      Below 1 Ω
      F12-1 - Body ground
      10 kΩ or higher
