INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK FOR DTC
  1. Check for DTCs of the SFI system (1GR-FE, 2TR-FE) or ECD system (1KD-FTV, 5L-E).

2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (METER - ECM)

Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.Meter.Meter / Gauge System.Meter / Gauge System  Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge Malfunction

  1. Disconnect the C10 meter connector.

  1. Disconnect the E13*1, E9*2, E4*3 or E23*4 ECM connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    for 1GR-FE
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    C10-4 - E13-14 (THWO)
    Below 1 Ω
    C10-4 - Body ground
    10 kΩ or higher
    for 2TR-FE:
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    C10-4 - E9-14 (THWO)
    Below 1 Ω
    C10-4 - Body ground
    10 kΩ or higher
    for 1KD-FTV:
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    C10-4 - E4-2 (THWO)
    Below 1 Ω
    C10-4 - Body ground
    10 kΩ or higher
    for 5L-E:
    Tester Connection
