Floor Shift Assembly Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE TRANSFER SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY

Floor Shift Assembly -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE TRANSFER SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY


3. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the parking brake hole cover (Toyota Fortuner RM000000SQH004X_01_0020.html).


4. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the upper console panel (Toyota Fortuner RM000000SQH004X_01_0021.html).


5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
Remove the console box assembly (Toyota Fortuner RM000000SQH004X_01_0022.html).


6. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the 2 connectors and clamp.

  1. Move the shift lever to L.

  1. Disconnect the transmission control cable.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts.

  1. Remove the floor shift.
