Vane Pump (For 5L-E) Removal


  1. DRAIN POWER STEERING FLUID

  2. DISCONNECT FAN & GENERATOR V BELT (w/o Air Conditioning System)

  3. DISCONNECT FAN & GENERATOR V BELT (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  4. DISCONNECT OIL RESERVOIR TO NO. 1 PUMP HOSE

  5. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE VANE PUMP PULLEY

  7. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

Vane Pump (For 5L-E) -- Removal



1. DRAIN POWER STEERING FLUID


2. DISCONNECT FAN & GENERATOR V BELT (w/o Air Conditioning System)


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.Power Steering.Vane Pump (For 5L-E).Vane Pump (For 5L-E)  Removal
  1. Loosen the bolts A and B, and remove the V belt.



3. DISCONNECT FAN & GENERATOR V BELT (w/ Air Conditioning System)


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.Power Steering.Vane Pump (For 5L-E).Vane Pump (For 5L-E)  Removal
  1. Loosen the bolts A and B.

  1. Loosen adjusting bolt C, and remove the V belt.



4. DISCONNECT OIL RESERVOIR TO NO. 1 PUMP HOSE

  1. Slide the clip and disconnect the oil hose.



5. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Remove the union bolt and gasket and disconnect the pressure feed tube.



6. REMOVE VANE PUMP PULLEY


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.Power Steering.Vane Pump (For 5L-E).Vane Pump (For 5L-E)  Removal
  1. Using SST, remove the nut and vane pump pulley.

    SST
    09960-10010(09962-01000,09963-01000)


7. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and vane pump.
