  1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)

  2. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (w/ Power Window)

  3. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (w/o Power Window)

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door)

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for 5 Door)

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for 3 Door)

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Door Lock)

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Door Lock)

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY

Front Door Lock (For Hatchback) -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedure described below is for the RH side.


1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)

  1. Insert a clip remover between the plate and front door trim board.

  1. Turn the handle with the clip remover inserted, as shown in the illustration.

  1. Remove the front door window regulator handle and clip.

  1. Remove the window regulator handle plate.



2. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (w/ Power Window)

  1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 9 claws and 4 guides.

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the front armrest base upper panel.



3. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (w/o Power Window)

  1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 6 claws and 3 guides.

    1. Disconnect the connector.

      HINT:
      If the armrest base upper panel is equipped with door lock switch, disconnect the connector.


4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door)

  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and open the cover.

  1. Remove the 3 screws.

  1. Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable and the front door inside locking cable and remove the front door trim board.

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and open the cover.

  1. Remove the 3 screws.

  1. Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable and the front door inside locking cable and remove the front door trim board.

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for 5 Door)

  1. Remove the front door service hole cover.

    HINT:
    Remove any tape remaining on the door side.


7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for 3 Door)

  1. Remove the front door service hole cover.

    HINT:
    Remove any tape remaining on the door side.


8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the front door service hole cover.

  1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

  1. Connect the power window regulator master switch and move the front door glass so that the door glass bolts can be seen.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and the power window regulator master switch.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts.

  1. Remove the front door glass as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

    NOTICE:
    After the bolts are removed, do not allow the front door glass to fall.


9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN

  1. Remove the front door glass run.



10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the bolt.

  1. Disengage the guide and remove the front door rear lower frame.



11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER

  1. Remove the hole plug.

  1. Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the screw and the front door lock cylinder assembly.



12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Door Lock)

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 3 screws.

  1. Slide the front door lock assembly downward, and remove the front door lock from the front door lock open rod.

  1. Remove the door lock wire harness seal from the front door lock.



13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Door Lock)

  1. Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 3 screws.

  1. Slide the front door lock assembly downward, and remove the front door lock from the front door lock open rod.

  1. Remove the door lock wire harness seal from the front door lock.

15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY
