Proportioning Valve (For Hatchback) Removal

  1. REMOVE CENTER COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER

  2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

  3. REMOVE BATTERY

  4. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

  5. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

  6. REMOVE PROPORTIONING VALVE

Proportioning Valve (For Hatchback) -- Removal



1. REMOVE CENTER COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER

  1. Disengage the 2 clips and slide the hood to cowl top seal as shown in the illustration.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and separate the washer hose joint.

    NOTICE:
    To prevent washer fluid from contaminating the brake master cylinder reservoir, do not separate the washer hose.
  1. Disengage the 2 claws and 6 guides remove the cowl top ventilator louver center.



2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTICE:
Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.


3. REMOVE BATTERY

  1. Disconnect the cable from the battery terminal.

  1. Loosen the 2 nuts and remove the battery clamp.

  1. Remove the battery.



4. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY


5. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

  1. Disengage the 6 clamps and disconnect the wire harness from the battery carrier.

  1. Remove the 5 bolts and the battery carrier.



6. REMOVE PROPORTIONING VALVE

  1. Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, separate the 6 brake tubes from the proportioning valve and the brake tube way.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and the proportioning valve bracket.



    Yaris. Ncp93, 131
  1. Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, remove the 3 brake tubes from the proportioning valve and the brake tube way.



    Yaris. Ncp93, 131
  1. Remove the 2 nuts and the proportioning valve from the proportioning valve bracket.
