DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU controls the room light assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses and bulbs for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
1.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

  1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the Techstream on.

  1. Turn the room light assembly switch to the DOOR position.

  1. All doors closed (door courtesy light switches OFF).

  1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

  1. According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

    Main Body
    Tester Display
    		Test Part

    		Diagnostic Note
    Illuminated Entry System
    		Map light assembly
    		ON or OFF
    		Room light assembly (room light assembly switch in DOOR position, and all doors closed)
    OK:
    The illuminated entry system operates normally when operating it through the Techstream.

2.INSPECT ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  1. Inspect the room light assembly (YARIS_NCP93 RM000001DK701LX.html).

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)

  1. Disconnect the K2 room light assembly connector.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    K2-1 - Body ground
    		Always
    		11 to 14 V

4.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU)

  1. Disconnect the K2 room light assembly connector.

  1. Disconnect the 4K main body ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    K2-2 - 4K-2
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    K2-2 - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher
