1. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
NOTICE:
  1. Do not remove the steering sensor from the spiral cable sub-assembly (w/ VSC).
  2. If there is a malfunction in the steering sensor, replace the spiral cable sub-assembly with steering sensor (w/ VSC).

  1. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the spiral cable sub-assembly with a new one:

    1. Scratches, cracks, dents or chips on the connector or the spiral cable sub-assembly.

  1. Inspect the spiral cable sub-assembly.

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      NOTICE:
      To avoid breaking the spiral cable sub-assembly, do not turn the spiral cable sub-assembly more than necessary.
