DESCRIPTION
The driver side seat belt buckle switch circuit consists of the center airbag sensor and the front seat inner belt.DTC B1655/37 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the driver side seat belt buckle switch circuit.DTC No.

| When one of following conditions is met:
- The center airbag sensor receives a line short signal, an open signal, a short to ground signal or a short to B+ signal in the driver side seat belt buckle switch circuit for 2 seconds.
- Driver side seat inner belt malfunction
- Center airbag sensor malfunction

WIRING DIAGRAM
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Clear the DTCs (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000XFE06SX.html).
Turn the ignition switch off.
Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Check the DTCs (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000XFE06SX.html).
- OK:
- DTC B1655/37 is not output.
- HINT:
- DTCs other than DTC B1655/37 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

2.CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTOR |
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
Check that the connectors are properly connected to the center airbag sensor and the driver side seat inner belt.
- OK:
- The connectors are connected.
3.CHECK FLOOR WIRE (OPEN) |
Disconnect the connectors from the center airbag sensor and the driver side seat inner belt.
Using a service wire, connect K1-12 (DBE-) and K1-11 (DBE+)*1 or L18-12 (DBE-) and L18-11 (DBE+)*2 of connector B.
- HINT:
- *1: for LHD
- *2: for RHD
- NOTICE:
- Do not forcibly insert a service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting.
Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
- Standard resistance:
- for LHD:

7.CHECK DRIVER SIDE SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY |
Connect the connectors to the center airbag sensor and the driver side seat inner belt.
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Clear the DTCs (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000XFE06SX.html).
Turn the ignition switch off.
Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Check the DTCs (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000XFE06SX.html).
- OK:
- DTC B1655/37 is not output.
- HINT:
- DTCs other than DTC B1655/37 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

8.REPLACE DRIVER SIDE SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY |
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
Replace the driver side seat inner belt (RAV4_ACA30 RM00000122H01ZX.html).
- HINT:
- Perform the inspection using parts from a normal vehicle if possible.
9.CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY |
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Clear the DTCs (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000XFE06SX.html).
Turn the ignition switch off.
Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Check the DTCs (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000XFE06SX.html).
- OK:
