Exhaust Pipe -- Removal |
| 1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
| 2. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) |

Disconnect the sensor connector.
Using SST, remove the sensor from the front exhaust pipe.

| 3. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.
Disconnect the 2 exhaust pipe supports, and remove the tailpipe.
Remove the gasket from the center exhaust pipe.
| 4. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 bolts.
Disconnect the 3 exhaust pipe supports, and remove the center exhaust pipe.
Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe.

| 5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 compression springs and front exhaust pipe.
Remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold.
