DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to operate the rain sensor.
The auto wiper system operates when the wiper switch is in the AUTO position.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - SENSOR)

  1. Disconnect the E66 ECU connector.

  1. Disconnect the R5*1 or R7*2 sensor connector.

    HINT:
    *1: for LHD
    *2: for RHD

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    for LHD
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    E66-8 (SIG) - R5-4 (SIG)
    		Below 1 Ω
    E66-14 (PA1) - R5-3 (AUTO)
    E66-25 (E) - R5-1 (ES)
    for RHD:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    E66-8 (SIG) - R7-4 (SIG)
    		Below 1 Ω
    E66-14 (PA1) - R7-3 (AUTO)
    E66-25 (E) - R7-1 (ES)
