WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM (w/ Rain Sensor) - Headlight Cleaner Motor and Relay Circuit


DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to the headlight cleaner control relay.
The headlight cleaner control relay receives the signal from the switch, etc., to operate the headlight cleaner motor and pump.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.REPAIR FUSE (ECU-IG1)

  1. Remove the ECU-IG1 fuse from the instrument panel junction block.

  1. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

    Standard resistance:
    Below 1 Ω


NG
REPLACE FUSE
OK


2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RELAY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

  1. Disconnect the A44 relay connector.

  1. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

    Standard voltage:
    Tester Connection
    		Switch Condition
    		Specified Condition
    A44-3 (IG) - Body ground
    		Ignition switch on (IG)
    		10 to 14 V

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    A44-4 (E) - Body ground
    		Below 1 Ω

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK


3.INSPECT HEADLIGHT CLEANER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the headlight cleaner motor.

  1. Apply battery voltage to the headlight cleaner motor and check the operation of the headlight cleaner motor.

    OK:
    Measurement Condition
    		Specified Condition
    Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
    Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
    		Headlight cleaner motor operation is normal

4.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MOTOR - RELAY AND BATTERY)

  1. Disconnect the A43 motor connector.

  1. Disconnect the A44 relay connector.

  1. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

    Standard voltage:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    A43-1 - Body ground
    		10 to 14 V

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    A43-2 - A44-6 (PB)
    		Below 1 Ω

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
