STEERING LOCK SYSTEM - Power Source Circuit |
DESCRIPTION
This circuit supplies power source voltage from the battery to terminal B of the steering lock actuator assembly. The diagnosis information of the steering lock ECU is transmitted to the tester via the certification ECU as the steering lock ECU is not connected to the CAN communication system.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- HINT:
- When the engine switch is off, the main body ECU may occasionally go into a non-active state called sleep mode. Therefore, before proceeding with the inspection, it is necessary to perform the following step to wake up the ECU:
- Before starting the inspection, with the engine switch off, open the driver door. Then (with the engine switch still off) open and close any door several times at 1.5 second intervals.
1.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR - BODY GROUND) |
Disconnect the E6 steering lock actuator connector.
Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection
| Specified Condition
|
E6-1 (GND) - Body ground
| Below 1 Ω
|
E6-2 (SGND) - Body ground
| Below 1 Ω
|
| REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR |

2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (BATTERY - STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR) |
Disconnect the E6 steering lock actuator connector.
Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
- Standard voltage:
Tester Connection
| Specified Condition
|
E6-7 (B) - E6-1 (GND)
| 11 to 14 V
|
E6-7 (B) - E6-2 (SGND)
| 11 to 14 V
