DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when there is an open or short in the key coil (built into the engine switch).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Clear the DTC (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001RM1004X.html).

  1. Recheck for the DTC.

    OK:
    B2784 output does not reoccur.

2.CHECK ENGINE SWITCH (OPERATION)

  1. Temporarily replace the engine switch with a normally or normally functioning one.

  1. Check that the engine starts normally.

    OK:
    Engine starts normally.

REPLACE ECU AGGREGATION BOX (CERTIFICATION ECU)
OK

END (ENGINE SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE)
