Air Conditioning Panel (For Automatic Air Conditioning System) Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER

  4. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER (w/ Radio Receiver)

  5. REMOVE STEREO OPENING COVER (w/o Radio Receiver)

  6. REMOVE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/ Navigation System)

  7. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY

Air Conditioning Panel (For Automatic Air Conditioning System) -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.


2. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 clips and 2 claws, and then remove the cluster finish panel.

  1. Disconnect the connector.



3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 clips and 2 claws, and then remove the cluster finish panel.

  1. Disconnect the connector.



4. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER (w/ Radio Receiver)

  1. for 3ZR-FAE:
    Remove the radio receiver assembly with bracket (RAV4_ACA30 RM0000014UM00DX_01_0017.html).

  1. except 3ZR-FAE
    Remove the radio receiver assembly with bracket (RAV4_ACA30 RM0000014UM00DX_01_0004.html).



5. REMOVE STEREO OPENING COVER (w/o Radio Receiver)

  1. Remove the 4 bolts.

  1. Detach the 4 clips and remove the stereo opening cover.



6. REMOVE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/ Navigation System)

  1. for DVD:
    Remove the navigation receiver assembly with bracket (RAV4_ACA30 RM000003P8D001X_01_0003.html).

  1. for HDD:
    Remove the navigation receiver assembly with bracket (RAV4_ACA30 RM0000021Q2002X_01_0004.html).



7. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 clips.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Connect the connectors and remove the air conditioning control.
