  1. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

  2. REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

Ignition Switch (W/O Entry And Start System) -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
  2. The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


1. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

  1. Detach the 4 claws, release the tilt lever and remove the lower steering column cover.



2. REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


  1. for CVT:



      Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

    1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector.

    2. Detach the claw and disconnect the key interlock solenoid wire harness connector from the ignition switch connector.

    3. Detach the clamp and disconnect the wire harness.

    4. Remove the 2 screws and ignition switch.



  1. for Manual Transaxle:



      Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

    1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector.

    2. Detach the clamp and disconnect the wire harness.

    3. Remove the 2 screws and ignition switch.
