DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the engine start request signal circuit inside the main body ECU is open or shorted.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / DTC.

  1. Clear the DTCs.

  1. Depress the brake pedal (except M/T) or clutch pedal (for M/T) with the engine switch on (IG), wait at least 15 seconds, and check whether DTC B2275 recurs.

2.CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (STSW VOLTAGE)

  1. Disconnect the E20 main body ECU connector.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    HINT:
    The voltage is generated at terminal STSW for 0.3 seconds when the engine cranks.
    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    E20-4 (STSW) - Body ground
    		Brake pedal (except M/T) or clutch pedal (for M/T) depressed with shift lever in P or N (except M/T) and engine switch pushed once
    		11 to 14 V

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - ECM)

  1. Disconnect the E20 main body ECU connector.

  1. Disconnect the A12 ECM connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    E20-4 (STSW) - A12-29 (STSW)
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    E20-4 (STSW) or A12-29 (STSW) - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK


4.CHECK WHETHER ENGINE STARTS

  1. Temporarily replace the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) with a new or normally functioning one.

  1. Check that the engine starts normally.

    OK:
    Engine starts normally.
