DTC B2271 Ignition Hold Monitor Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the IG output circuits inside the main body ECU are open or shorted.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Clear the DTCs.

  1. Start the engine.

  1. Allow the engine to idle for 1 minute or more.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / DTC.

  1. Read the DTCs.

2.INSPECT FUSE (AM2-2)
  1. Remove the AM2-2 fuse from the engine room No. 1 relay block.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Condition

    AM2-2 fuse
    Always
    Below 1 Ω

  1. Disconnect the E18 and E19 main body ECU connectors.

  1. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
