Ignition Coil And Spark Plug -- Installation |
- HINT:
- Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the ignition coil assembly or spark plug (LandCruiser RM000004NJC03XX.html).
1. INSTALL SPARK PLUG |
- HINT:
- Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the spark plug (LandCruiser RM000004NJC03XX.html).
Using a 16 mm spark plug wrench, install the 4 spark plugs.
- Torque:
- 18 N*m{184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf}
2. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY |
- HINT:
- Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the ignition coil assembly (LandCruiser RM000004NJC03XX.html).
Install the 4 ignition coil assemblies with the 4 bolts.
- Torque:
- 9.0 N*m{92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf}
Connect the 4 ignition coil connectors.
3. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR |
Install the intake air connector with the 3 bolts.
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
Tighten the hose clamp.
- Torque:
- 5.0 N*m{51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}
Connect the vacuum hose.
Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose.
Connect the vacuum hose to the air pressure sensor.
Connect the air pressure sensor connector.
Attach the wire harness and vacuum hose to the intake air connector.
4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE |
Install the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with air cleaner hose and align its matchmark with the matchmark of the intake air connector as shown in the illustration.

Tighten the hose clamp.
- NOTICE:
- Check that the air cleaner hose is securely installed.
Attach the 4 clamps.
Attach the 3 clamps and connect the intake mass air flow meter connector.
