DTC C1AE8 Rear Right Center Sensor Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear center sensor RH) is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear center sensor RH). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear center sensor RH) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the TOYOTA parking assist-sensor system on. Then clear the DTC (LandCruiser RM000000VKU06EX.html).

  1. Check for DTCs (LandCruiser RM000000VKU06EX.html).

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (LandCruiser RM000003YMJ00XX.html)

2.REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR CENTER SENSOR RH)

  1. Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear center sensor RH) with a normally functioning sensor (LandCruiser RM00000470F01FX.html).

    HINT:
    All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
