DTC B2425 Headlight Leveling Motor RH Communication Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling motor operates by receiving the signal from the headlight swivel ECU. The headlight swivel ECU detects the headlight leveling motor status using the signal from the headlight leveling motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK FOR DTC

Clear the DTCs (LandCruiser RM000000PKT0AFX.html).

Check for DTCs (LandCruiser RM000000PKT0AFX.html).
OK:
DTC B2424 or B2425 output does not occur.

Go to step 2

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (LandCruiser RM000003YMI00MX.html)

2.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU)

Using the intelligent tester, read the Data List (LandCruiser RM000000PKV0J6X.html).

4.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY - HEADLIGHT UNIT)

Disconnect the A58 headlight swivel ECU assembly connector.

Disconnect the A30*1 or A31*2 headlight connector.
1. *1: for LH
2. *2: for RH

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Disconnect the headlight leveling motor connector.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

1. Temporarily replace the headlight leveling motor with a new or normally functioning one (LandCruiser RM000003QVM00WX.html).

for LED Headlight
1. Temporarily replace the headlight leveling motor with a new or normally functioning one (LandCruiser RM000003QVM00XX.html).

Check for DTCs (LandCruiser RM000000PKT0AFX.html).
OK:
DTC B2424 or B2425 output does not occur.
