Camshaft Position Sensor Installation


  1. INSTALL VVT SENSOR (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2)

  2. INSTALL VVT SENSOR (for Intake Side of Bank 2)

  3. INSTALL VVT SENSOR (for Exhaust Side of Bank 1)

  4. INSTALL VVT SENSOR (for Intake Side of Bank 1)

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

  6. INSTALL V-BANK COVER

Camshaft Position Sensor -- Installation



1. INSTALL VVT SENSOR (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2)

  1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the VVT sensor.

    NOTICE:
    1. When reusing the sensor, inspect the O-ring.
    2. If the O-ring has scratches or cuts, replace the sensor.

  1. Install the VVT sensor with the bolt.

    Torque:
    10 N*m{102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf}

  1. Connect the sensor connector.



2. INSTALL VVT SENSOR (for Intake Side of Bank 2)

  1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the sensor.

    NOTICE:
    1. When reusing the sensor, inspect the O-ring.
    2. If the O-ring has scratches or cuts, replace the sensor.

  1. Install the sensor with the bolt.

    Torque:
    10 N*m{102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf}

  1. Connect the sensor connector.



3. INSTALL VVT SENSOR (for Exhaust Side of Bank 1)

  1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the sensor.

    NOTICE:
    1. When reusing the sensor, inspect the O-ring.
    2. If the O-ring has scratches or cuts, replace the sensor.

  1. Install the sensor with the bolt.

    Torque:
    10 N*m{102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf}

  1. Connect the sensor connector.



4. INSTALL VVT SENSOR (for Intake Side of Bank 1)

  1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the sensor.

    NOTICE:
    1. When reusing the sensor, inspect the O-ring.
    2. If the O-ring has scratches or cuts, replace the sensor.

  1. Install the sensor with the bolt.

    Torque:
    10 N*m{102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf}

  1. Connect the sensor connector.



5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE


    Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155.1Gr-Fe Engine Control.Sfi System.Camshaft Position Sensor Installation

  1. Install the air cleaner hose with the 2 clamps.

    Torque:
    5.0 N*m{51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}

  1. Install the bolt.

    Torque:
    5.0 N*m{51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}

  1. Connect the vacuum hose and ventilation hose.

    HINT:
    The direction of the hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

  1. Attach the wire harness clamp.



6. INSTALL V-BANK COVER

  1. Attach the 2 V-bank cover hooks to the bracket. Then align the 2 V-bank cover grommets with the 2 pins and press down on the V-bank cover to attach the pins.
