Glass Hatch Opener System Operation Check

With all the doors unlocked, operate the glass hatch opener switch and check that the glass hatch opens.

With all the doors locked or with the back door open, operate the glass hatch opener switch and check that the glass hatch does not open.

Check that the transmitter LED illuminates 3 times when each switch is pressed 3 times.

1. HINT:

   If the LED does not illuminate when a switch has been pressed 3 times or more, the battery may be depleted.

Check that when the glass hatch opener switch is pressed for approximately 1 second or more, the glass hatch opens.

Lock all the doors including the back door. With the key in your possession, check that pressing the glass hatch opener switch opens the glass hatch.

Inspect the detection area of the entry glass hatch open operation. Hold the key at the same height as the back door unlock switch (approximately 0.8 m [2.62 ft.]) Pay attention to the direction of the key shown in the illustration. Check that when the key is brought within 0.7 to 1.0 m (2.30 to 3.28 ft.) of the vehicle, pressing the glass hatch opener switch opens the glass hatch.
