Generator (For 130 A Type) Removal


  1. PRECAUTION

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE BATTERY HOLD DOWN CLAMP

  4. REMOVE BATTERY

  5. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 INTERCOOLER AIR HOSE

  8. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  9. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

Generator (For 130 A Type) -- Removal



1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

3. REMOVE BATTERY HOLD DOWN CLAMP

  1. Loosen the 2 nuts.

  1. Remove the 2 battery clamp bolts and battery hold down clamp.



4. REMOVE BATTERY


5. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY


6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Detach the 2 front clips of the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.

  1. While pulling the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly towards the front, detach the 2 rear pins, and then remove the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.



7. REMOVE NO. 2 INTERCOOLER AIR HOSE

  1. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the oil return hose.

  1. Loosen the 2 hose clamps and remove the No. 2 intercooler air hose.



8. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  1. Rotate the tensioner pulley clockwise to loosen the fan and generator V belt and reduce the tension. Then remove the fan and generator V belt.



9. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY


    Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155

  1. Disconnect the connector from the generator assembly.

  1. Remove the terminal cap.

  1. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness from the generator assembly.

  1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the wire harness from the generator bracket.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and generator assembly.

  1. Remove the bolt and generator bracket from the generator assembly.
