Vane Pump (For 1Gd-Ftv) Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 INTERCOOLER AIR HOSE

  4. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

  6. REMOVE PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

Vane Pump (For 1Gd-Ftv) -- Removal


NOTICE:
  1. When using a vise, do not overtighten it.
  2. When installing the parts indicated by arrows, coat them with power steering fluid (LandCruiser RM00000163S01AX.html).


1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
  1. After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (LandCruiser RM000003YMD00TX.html).
  2. When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).


2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 engine under cover sub-assembly.



3. REMOVE NO. 2 INTERCOOLER AIR HOSE

  1. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the oil return hose.

  1. Loosen the 2 hose clamps and remove the No. 2 intercooler air hose.



4. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  1. Rotate the tensioner pulley clockwise to loosen the fan and generator V belt and reduce the tension. Then remove the fan and generator V belt.



5. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

  1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 oil reservoir to pump hose.



6. REMOVE PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY


    Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155

  1. Disconnect the connector from the vane pump assembly.



    Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155

  1. Remove the union bolt and pressure feed tube assembly from the vane pump assembly.

  1. Remove the gasket from the pressure feed tube assembly.



7. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector from the vane pump assembly.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and vane pump assembly.
