Engine Hood Courtesy Switch Removal


  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

  3. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

  4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH)

Engine Hood Courtesy Switch -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
  2. The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
  1. Remove the 13 clips and upper radiator support seal.



2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

  1. Put protective tape around the radiator grille.

  1. Remove the 4 screws.

  1. Detach the 8 claws and remove the radiator grille.

3. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

  1. Disconnect the sensor connector.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.



4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR

  1. Detach the 2 clamps, 2 guides and remove the hood lock release lever protector.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock assembly (engine hood courtesy switch).
