REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (w/o Secondary Air Injection System)
REMOVE AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (w/ Secondary Air Injection System)
REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR (w/o Secondary Air Injection System)
Exhaust Manifold -- Removal |
| 1. REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER APRON SEAL |
Remove the 5 clips and front upper fender apron seal.
| 2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SEAL |
Remove the 5 clips and front fender seal.
| 3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (w/o Secondary Air Injection System) |
Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
 |
Loosen the hose clamp.
Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner assembly.
| 4. REMOVE AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (w/ Secondary Air Injection System) |
| 5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY |
w/ Secondary Air Injection System:
Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector and detach the wire harness clamp.
Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector and detach the wire harness clamp.
Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts and 2 compression springs.
Remove the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust pipe support.
| 6. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR (w/o Secondary Air Injection System) |
Remove the 5 bolts and No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator.
| 7. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY |
Remove the 3 bolts and manifold stay.
 |
| 8. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD |
w/o Secondary Air Injection System:
Remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold.
 |
w/ Secondary Air Injection System:
Remove the 8 nuts and exhaust manifold.
 |
Remove the gasket.
