DTC 14 Engine Coolant Temperature Communication Circuit


DESCRIPTION

The engine coolant temperature sensor connected to the ECM detects the engine coolant temperature, which is used for warm up control when the engine is cold. The engine coolant temperature sensor sends a signal to the air conditioning amplifier assembly via the ECM.

1.CHECK FOR DTC (ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM)

  1. Clear the DTCs.

    1. for 1KD-FTV (w/ EGR Cooler): HILUX_TGN26 RM000000PDK0SYX.html.
    2. for 1KD-FTV (w/o EGR Cooler): HILUX_TGN26 RM000000PDK0T9X.html.
    3. for 2TR-FBE: HILUX_TGN26 RM000000PDK0T7X.html.

  1. Check the DTCs.

    1. for 1KD-FTV (w/ EGR Cooler): HILUX_TGN26 RM000000PDK0SYX.html.
    2. for 1KD-FTV (w/o EGR Cooler): HILUX_TGN26 RM000000PDK0T9X.html.
    3. for 2TR-FBE: HILUX_TGN26 RM000000PDK0T7X.html.

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER - ECM)

  1. Disconnect the G94 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

  1. Disconnect the G39*1 or G97*2 ECM connector.

    1. *1: for 1KD-FTV
    2. *2: for 2TR-FBE

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    for 1KD-FTV:
