Brake Master Cylinder (For Tmt Made) Removal

Brake. Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25
Brake System (Other). Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

  2. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o ABS)

  3. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ ABS)

Brake Master Cylinder (For Tmt Made) -- Removal


NOTICE:
Make sure to release the vacuum from the brake booster before removing the master cylinder from the brake booster.


1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTICE:
Wash off brake fluid immediately if it comes in contact with any painted surface.


2. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o ABS)


Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25
  1. Disconnect the clutch reservoir tube from the master cylinder.

  1. Disconnect the brake fluid warning switch connector.

  1. Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 6 brake lines from the master cylinder and 4-way.



    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25
  1. Remove the 2 nuts and bracket (with 4-way).

  1. Pull out the master cylinder from the brake booster.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the master cylinder.



3. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ ABS)


Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25
  1. for Manual Transmission:
    Disconnect the clutch reservoir tube from the master cylinder.

  1. Disconnect the brake fluid level warning switch connector.

  1. Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 5 brake lines from the master cylinder and 3-way.



    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25
  1. Remove the 2 nuts and bracket (with 3-way).

  1. Pull out the master cylinder from the brake booster.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the master cylinder.
