DTC C1279/79 Deceleration Sensor Output Voltage Malfunction (Test Mode DTC) |
DESCRIPTION
This sensor detects deceleration of the vehicle speed. The sensor signal is used in ABS control. If the sensor functions abnormally, the ABS warning light turns on.DTC Code
| DTC Detection Condition
| Trouble Area
|
C1243/43
| While the vehicle speed decreases from 30 km/h (18 mph) to 0 km/h (0 mph), the sensor signal does not change 16 times or more.
| - Deceleration sensor
- Deceleration sensor circuit
- Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)
|
C1244/44
| One of the following conditions is met:
- Deceleration sensor signal value of -1.5 G or less or 1.5 G or more continues for 1.2 seconds or more.
- Deceleration sensor power supply terminal VGS voltage of 4.75 V or less or 5.25 V or higher continues for 1.2 seconds or more.
- Deceleration sensor signal momentary open occurs 7 times or more.
| - Deceleration sensor
- Deceleration sensor circuit
- Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)
|
C1245/45
| At a vehicle speed of 30 km/h (18 mph) or more, the difference between the forward and rearward G value calculated using sensor signals and the forward and rearward G value calculated using the vehicle speed exceeds 0.35 G for 60 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- NOTICE:
- Before disconnecting the connector, make sure that there are no problems with the connection.
- After disconnecting the connector, make sure that the connector case and terminals are not deformed or corroded.
1.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DECELERATION SENSOR1) |
Turn the ignition switch off.
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the intelligent tester on.
Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.

Check that the deceleration value of the deceleration sensor displayed on the intelligent tester changes when the vehicle is tilted.
- OK:
- Changes continuously during acceleration/deceleration.
Clear the DTC (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000XHV0CFX.html).
Turn the ignition switch off.
Start the engine.
Drive the vehicle at a speed of 30 km/h (18 mph) or more for 60 seconds or more.
Check if the same DTCs are output (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000XHV0CFX.html).
