Clutch Master Cylinder Removal

Drivetrain. Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. DRAIN CLUTCH FLUID

  2. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  3. DISCONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE

  4. DISCONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE HOSE TUBE

  5. DISCONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  6. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

Clutch Master Cylinder -- Removal



1. DRAIN CLUTCH FLUID
NOTICE:
Wash off clutch fluid immediately if it comes into contact with a painted surface.


2. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

3. DISCONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25.Clutch.Clutch System.Clutch Master Cylinder Removal

  1. Loosen the clip and disconnect the clutch reservoir hose from the clutch master cylinder assembly.

    HINT:
    Use a container to collect the fluid.


4. DISCONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE HOSE TUBE

  1. Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the clutch master cylinder to flexible hose tube.

    HINT:
    Use a container to collect the fluid.


5. DISCONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS


Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. w/o Turnover:
    Disconnect the clutch pedal spring from the clevis pin and clutch pedal support and remove it.

  1. Remove the clip and clevis pin and disconnect the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis.



6. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Remove the 2 nuts, clutch master cylinder assembly and gasket.



7. REMOVE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  1. Loosen the lock nut, and then remove the master cylinder push rod clevis and lock nut from the push rod.

    NOTICE:
    When loosening the lock nut, be sure to hold the clevis in place by its square portion.
