Front Speed Sensor (For 4Wd And Pre-Runner) Inspection

Check the speed sensor.

1. Under any of the following conditions, replace the sensor with a new one.
   

   1. The surface of the sensor is cracked, dented or chipped.
      
   2. The connector is scratched, cracked or damaged.
      
   3. The sensor has been dropped.
      




2. w/ ABS:
   Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   1 - 2	0.65 to 1.8 kΩ
   1 - Body ground	10 kΩ or higher
   2 - Body ground	10 kΩ or higher

   *a	Component without harness connected (Front Speed Sensor)

   If the result is not as specified, replace the speed sensor.
   

   HINT:

   Check the speed sensor signal after replacing the speed sensor (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000010JM025X_02_0006.html).
