Fuel Injector -- Removal |
| 1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE |
| 2. PRECAUTION |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR1006X.html).
| 3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR3009X.html).
| 4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY |
| 5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL HOSE |
Disconnect the No. 1 fuel hose (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000YL401TX.html).

| 6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 FUEL HOSE |
Disconnect the No. 2 fuel hose.
 |
| 7. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY |
 |
Remove the 2 bolts and fuel pressure pulsation damper.
| 8. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH FUEL INJECTOR |
Disconnect the 4 wire harness clamps.
 |
Disconnect the 4 injector connectors.
Disconnect the purge VSV connector.
Remove the vacuum hose.
 |
Remove the 2 bolts and fuel delivery pipe together with the fuel injectors.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to drop the fuel injectors when removing the fuel delivery pipe.
Remove the 2 No. 1 delivery pipe spacers.
 |
Remove the 4 injector vibration insulators.
Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 spacers.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Remove the O-ring from the spacer.
| 9. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 4 fuel injectors from the fuel delivery pipe.
