  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER RELAY (DIMMER)

  3. INSPECT FOG LIGHT RELAY (FR FOG)

Relay -- On-Vehicle Inspection



1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT RELAY (H-LP)


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141.Lighting (Ext).Lighting System.Relay On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. Remove the headlight relay from the engine room relay block.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    3 - 5
    		Voltage is not applied between terminals 1 and 2
    		10 kΩ or higher
    3 - 5
    		Voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2
    		Below 1 Ω
    If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.


2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER RELAY (DIMMER)


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141.Lighting (Ext).Lighting System.Relay On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. Remove the headlight dimmer relay from the engine room relay block.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    3 - 5
    		Voltage is not applied between terminals 1 and 2
    		10 kΩ or higher
    3 - 5
    		Voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2
    		Below 1 Ω
    If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.


3. INSPECT FOG LIGHT RELAY (FR FOG)


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141.Lighting (Ext).Lighting System.Relay On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. Remove the front fog light relay from the relay block.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    3 - 5
    		Voltage is not applied between terminals 1 and 2
    		10 kΩ or higher
    3 - 5
    		Voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2
    		Below 1 Ω
    If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.
