DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- NOTICE:
- When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000XHR08KX.html).

Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000WIB0BUX.html).

| 2.CHECK ABS WARNING LIGHT |
Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Check that the ABS warning light comes on.
- OK:
- The ABS warning light comes on.
- HINT:
- If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000XHN0DUX.html).
| 3.INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY |
Turn the ignition switch off.
Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.
Perform the Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using the Techstream (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM0000012G70D8X.html).
Check the combination meter.
- OK:
- The ABS warning light turns on or off in accordance with the Techstream operation.
- HINT:
- If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000XHN0DUX.html).
