Combination Meter Removal

  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System)

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  5. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH

  6. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Entry and Start System)

  9. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/ Entry and Start System)

  10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL NO.1

  11. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

Combination Meter -- Removal



1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System)

NOTICE:
After the ignition switch is turned off, the navigation receiver assembly (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.


2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000000KT107KX.html).


3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Disengage the 7 claws and 3 clips, and remove the front door scuff plate LH.



4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40.Meter.Meter / Gauge System.Combination Meter Removal

  1. Remove the cowl side trim clip.

  1. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH.



5. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH

  1. Remove the screw and the bolt.

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.

  1. Disengage the claw and the 4 clips.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the air hose, disconnect the connector, and then remove the lower instrument panel finish panel LH.



6. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER

  1. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right and remove the screw as shown in the illustration.

  1. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the left and remove the screw as shown in the illustration.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the steering column cover lower.

  1. Disengage the claw and remove the steering column cover upper.



7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Disengage the 3 claws and the 2 clips.

  1. Disconnect each connector and remove the instrument panel sub-assembly.



8. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Entry and Start System)

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and then remove the lower instrument panel finish panel.



9. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/ Entry and Start System)


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and then remove the lower instrument panel finish panel.

  1. Disconnect the connector.



10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL NO.1


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40.Meter.Meter / Gauge System.Combination Meter Removal

  1. Remove the 2 clips.

  1. Disengage the guide and 4 claws, and then remove the instrument cluster finish panel.



11. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  1. Using the tilt and telescopic functions, fully lower and extend the steering wheel.

  1. Remove the 4 screws.

  1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

  1. Disengage the wire harness from the combination meter assembly.

  1. Remove the combination meter assembly as shown in the illustration.
