DTC B15E1 Media Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when signals from disc in the navigation receiver assembly cannot be read.

When one of the conditions below is met:
  1. An unsuitable disc is inserted.
  2. The disc cannot be read.
  3. The disc cannot be read because of dirt or scratches.
  4. The disc cannot be read because it is inserted upside down.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK DISC


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Check that the disc is not deformed or cracked.

    OK:
    No deformation or cracks on the disc

CHANGE DISC
OK


2.DISC CLEANING


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Disc cleaning

    1. If dirt is on the disc surface, wipe it clean with a soft cloth from the inside to the outside in a radial direction.

      NOTICE:
      Do not use a conventional record cleaner or anti-static preservative.

3.REPLACE DISC WITH ANOTHER AND RECHECK

  1. Replace the disc with another and recheck.

  1. Clear the DTC (CAMRY_ACV40 RM0000011BU0BTX.html).

  1. Recheck for DTC and check if the same trouble occurs again.

    OK:
    No DTC is output.
