Cylinder Head - Disassembly

1. Remove with head taper screw plug no. 1

2. Remove valve lifter

3. Remove with head taper screw plug no. 2

4. Remove oil control valve filter

5. Remove intake valve

6. Remove exhaust valve

7. Remove valve stem oil seal

8. Remove valve spring seat

9. Remove stud bolt

10. Remove camshaft bearing cap setting ring pin

1. Using a 10 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the taper screw plug and the gasket.

HINT:

Keep the valve lifters in the correct order so that they can be returned to their original locations when reassembled.

1. Using an 8 mm hexagon wrench, remove the taper screw plug.

1. Using SST, compress the valve spring and remove the 2 retainer locks, retainer and valve spring.

   HINT:

   Keep the valves, valve springs, spring seats and spring retainers in the correct order so that they can be returned to their original locations when reassembled.

1. Using needle-nose pliers, remove the oil seal.

1. Using compressed air and a magnetic finger, remove the valve spring seats.

1. Using "Torx" socket wrenches E5 and E7, remove the 7 stud bolts.
