  1. Inspect camshaft position sensor

1. INSPECT CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR


Check the resistance.Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.Standard resistance:TemperatureSpecified ConditionCold1,630 to 2,740 ΩHot2,065 to 3,225 ΩHINT: In the table above, the terms Cold and Hot refer to the temperature of the coils. Cold means approximately -10 to 50 °C (14 to 122 °F). Hot means approximately 50 to 100 °C (122 to 212 °F).If the resistance is not as specified, replace the camshaft position sensor. Yaris

  1. Check the resistance.

    1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

      Standard resistance:
      Temperature
      		Specified Condition
      Cold
      		1,630 to 2,740 Ω
      Hot
      		2,065 to 3,225 Ω
      HINT:

      If the resistance is not as specified, replace the camshaft position sensor.
