Outer Rear View Mirror Glass

  1. Remove outer rear view mirror glass (w/o mirror heater)

  2. Remove outer rear view mirror glass (w/ mirror heater)

  3. Install outer rear view mirror glass (w/o mirror heater)

  4. Install outer rear view mirror glass (w/ mirror heater)

1. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS (w/o Mirror Heater)
  1. Apply protective tape to the bottom of the visor of the door mirror. Camry

  2. Apply protective tape to the bottom of the visor of the door mirror.

  1. Push the upper part of the mirror surface to tilt it.

  1. Insert a screwdriver between the mirror holder (black) and the plate pivot (white) to disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.HINT: Insert a screwdriver and turn it to disengage the claws between the mirror holder and plate pivot.NOTICE: Attempts to pull out the mirror holder without disengaging the claws may cause the actuator or the mirror to break. Be sure to disengage the claws completely. Camry

  2. Insert a screwdriver between the mirror holder (black) and the plate pivot (white) to disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Insert a screwdriver and turn it to disengage the claws between the mirror holder and plate pivot.
    NOTICE:
    Attempts to pull out the mirror holder without disengaging the claws may cause the actuator or the mirror to break. Be sure to disengage the claws completely.
  1. Push the lower part of the plate pivot (white). Camry

  2. Push the lower part of the plate pivot (white).

  1. Disengage the 2 claws on the upper part of the mirror holder (black) to remove the mirror glass.



2. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS (w/ Mirror Heater)
  1. Apply protective tape to the bottom of the visor of the door mirror. Camry

  2. Apply protective tape to the bottom of the visor of the door mirror.

  1. Push the upper part of the mirror surface to tilt it.

  1.   2. Insert a screwdriver between the mirror holder (black) and the plate pivot (white) to disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

  1. Push the lower part of the plate pivot (white). Camry

  2. Push the lower part of the plate pivot (white).

  1. Disengage the 2 claws on the upper part of the mirror holder (black) to separate the mirror glass.

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the outer rear view mirror glass. Camry

  2. Disconnect the connector and remove the outer rear view mirror glass.



3. INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS (w/o Mirror Heater)
  1. Engage the 2 claws on the upper part of the outer rear view mirror glass to the outer rear view mirror. Camry

  2. Engage the 2 claws on the upper part of the outer rear view mirror glass to the outer rear view mirror.

  1. Engage the 2 claws on the lower part of the outer rear view mirror glass to the outer rear view mirror as shown in the illustration.



4. INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS (w/ Mirror Heater)
  1. Connect the connector. Camry

  2. Connect the connector.

  1. Engage the 2 claws on the upper part of the outer rear view mirror glass to the outer rear view mirror. Camry

  2. Engage the 2 claws on the upper part of the outer rear view mirror glass to the outer rear view mirror.

  1. Engage the 2 claws on the lower part of the outer rear view mirror glass to the outer rear view mirror as shown in the illustration.
